This week has been disrupted due to the
snow. On Monday I couldn’t get to college as the wheather was to bad and busses
weren’t running by my house. On Tuesday we mainly focused on location
photography. We were looking at equipment that different photographers would
use on a photoshoot. We looked at the different types of location photography
and looked at the different equipment each of them may use on a usual
photoshoot. We then went into Newcastle in small groups of two or three people.
The idea of this was to see how hard it is to shoot in the snow. I fount this
much harder than I thought. Because of how the light reflects off the snow this
affects the exposure. The camera would be under exposed most of the time so we
all played around with the shutter speeds, apertures and ISO to get different
results and see how the light affects the camera. I got about thirty shots all
together, quite a few of them were under or over exposed images but I wasn’t
going to delete them as I can use them in my assignment to show how lighting
can effect our final outcomes. I also went through my powerpoint and added in
five different location photography genres and explained what equipment each
photographer may take with them depending on the location. On Wednesday we just
looked at evidencing our work in more depth by evidencing some photographers
work. I was quite surprised on how much equipment some photographers actually
take with them.
